Our Internship Programs
Business Internship, Graphic Design Internship, & Jr. Graphic Design Internship Programs
At Your Creative People, it's the people that make us what we are. We hire creative minds with a passion for design and a penchant for outside-the-box thinking. Our internship program fosters the gifts of creativity and provides real life working experience for young people.
"When there was something I wanted to learn, someone here always took the time to teach me. I enjoyed getting to know everyone, and they were all enjoyable to work with and very willing to reach out to me. I greatly appreciate that."
- Seth (graphic design intern in 2009)
Experience is essential. For this reason, we give our interns actual client projects to work on. Each intern is treated with the same respect as an actual employee. We want to hear the perspectives of our interns, and allow them to develop their individual creative style, while benefiting from the creative experience of the whole team. We pair each intern with an experienced designer, and give the intern valuable personal interaction at every level of the business.
Regardless of his or her current skill level, each intern can expect to learn an avalanche of new information, including advanced web design, front-end interfaces, Flash animation, CSS, and integration with our Content Management System. We want to invest each intern with the knowledge and skill to do freelance web and print design, or to gain experience that will land them a good job with a design agency.
What our past interns say about their experiences:
"Working along side the YCP team for several months was an invaluable experience. Encountering real-world projects, deadlines, client meetings, and the buzzing creative office environment will teach you far more in a short amount of time than you could learn in a classroom. Embrace the challenge."
- Michael (graphic design intern in 2010)
"The business internship at Your Creative People gave me a window into the inner workings of a functional studio. From the business of branding down to the financial workings, I was able to see what it took to make a business succeed."
- Matt (business intern in 2008)
"Interning with YCP was a wonderful learning experience. I feel like I understand more about how relationships with clients are crucial in communicating ideas for a company or a project."
- Carter (graphic design intern in 2008)

"I enjoyed my experience from the first week to the last. My time at YCP, though short, will certainly leave lasting memories. Everyone was very kind and gracious and very willing to answer questions whenever I encountered a problem. I don't think that there was any experience where I had something that I wanted to learn that no one took the time to teach me. They were all enjoyable to work with, very willing to reach out to me. I greatly appreciate that."
