Solving It From All Sides
Karen Weidenar, marketing director for Smurfit-Stone initially approached YCP to produce branded sales presentations for the company’s outside sales force. Because Smurfit-Stone had a host of conferences and meetings, each project came to YCP with short turnarounds.
YCP delivered for its clients. In one case, with less than one week to compile content, edit, and design, YCP designers delivered and produced 10,000 copies of a much-needed product information package for a national tradeshow. By working overtime, coordinating all of the printing, and shipping the finished pieces to the hotel of the tradeshow, Karen and her team were able to distribute those pieces to a national audience. When more materials were needed during the course of the show, YCP coordinated with a local printer to produce the materials in the nick of time.
When Smurfit-Stone was preparing to redesign their web site and logo, YCP was invited to fly up to the company’s headquarters in Chicago to be part of a hand-picked branding team Smurfit-Stone assembled for the rebranding project. After determining the client’s needs and core brand pillars, YCP designers put together a logo concept that focused on the clear communication of Smurfit-Stone’s mission: solving it from all sides. YCP also submitted two different web site concepts for Smurfit-Stone’s rebranding project.
